With Diwali around, the cine-goers are excited to have a long weekend binge. As we enter the festive season, the entertainment industry has a few fireworks in their stock. From bringing the most awaited films to the theatre to releasing the power pack films on OTT platforms, this week we have a rollercoaster ride of fun, suspense, romance, thriller and drama. Let’s take a quick look at the films which are all set to have their digital premiere this weekend.
Ghoomer
The sport-drama starring Abhishek Bachchan and Saiyami Kher is also set to release on OTT after its theatrical run. The film got rave reviews from both critics and audiences and it had to struggle to perform well at the box office. Ghoomer narrates the story of a young batting prodigy in a women’s cricket team who lost her right hand in an accident. But her life changes after she meets a failed cricketer as her coach. The film also features Amitabh Bachchan in a cameo role. The film is set to premiere on Zee5 on November 10.

Pippa
The biographical war film featuring Mrunal Thakur, Ishan Khatter and Priyanshu Painyuli is all set to release on Amazon Prime Video on November 10. The thriller is based on a landmark moment in history- the Battle of Garibpur, during the Indo-Pakistan war of 1971 which was also pivotal in Bangladesh’s struggle for independence. The film is titled the War Tank called the PT-76 (Palavushi Tanka), which was popularly known as Pippa.

Irugapatru
Irugapatru was probably one of the most awaited films in the OTT space. After a successful theatrical run, exceeding the initial expectation of the trade, the film is now streaming on Netflix from November 6. The romantic comedy features Vikram Prabhu, Shraddha Rama Srinath, Vidharth, Shri, Abarnathi and Saniya Iyyapan in pivotal roles.
Apart from the OTT releases this week Salman Khan’s most awaited film Tiger 3 is all set to hit the cinemas on November 12. The film also features Katrina Kaif as the leading lady and Emraan Hashmi in the antagonist role.
