Virat Kohli is once again winning hearts on the internet following a chucklesome interaction with a fan in Sri Lanka. Known for his energetic persona, Kohli has often given us some warm moments off the field. In a similar scenario, the talismanic Indian cricketer was spotted signing an autograph for a few fans in Colombo while also cracking a joke.

A clip of that interaction was shared on X (formerly Twitter). The video begins with Kohli trodding towards the supporters with his bat.

He then hilariously asked, “Shall I sign it? You said na it’s for me then you’re saying to sign it?!” Next, a smile broke out on Kohli’s face as he signed a few items for them. “Virat Kohli – the sweetest and the most humble guy!” read the post’s caption.

The warm gesture from Virat Kohli has now attracted reactions of cricket fans. One of them wrote, “Look at the aura of Virat Kohli, so humble person, I have never seen such a humble cricketer in cricket history, deserves Bharat Ratna to Virat Kohli.”

One added, “I have never seen a humble cricketer like King Kohli in world cricket.”

A social media user said, “Just saw the video of Virat Kohli being an absolute sweetheart with a fan asking for his autograph. Such a humble guy, always making time for his fans.”

Another X user appreciated the gesture and wrote, “A great gesture by Virat Kohli.”

Virat Kohli arrived in Sri Lanka on July 29, joining the side ahead of India’s ODI series against Sri Lanka. He was spotted doing some catching practice during the training session for the upcoming fixture. Kohli was also spotted having a few words with Team India’s newly appointed head coach Gautam Gambhir during the training.

The T20 World 2024 final that was held in Bridgetown, Barbados on June 29 was the last international match Virat Kohli had competed in. Kohli played a fine knock in the final to score a 59-ball 76. His knock proved crucial as India got the better of South Africa by seven runs to win their second T20 World Cup title.

Following the triumph, Kohli announced his retirement from the format along with Rohit Sharma and Ravindra Jadeja. Kohli will now be eyeing to make a solid start under the coaching of Gautam Gambhir.
