IPL 2024, RCB vs LSG: Mayank Yadav Showcases His Sheer Pace and Accuracy to Dismiss Cameron Green - WATCH
Mayank Yadav managed to showcase his sheer precision and pace as he clipped the off-stump to get rid of Cameron Green as LSG went on to win the game against RCB.

Lucknow Super Giants speed demon Mayank Yadav bowled an absolute rocket to send Royal Challengers Bengaluru batter Cameron Green packing in their IPL 2024 match on Tuesday. Playing at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium, RCB took on LSG in the 15th T20 clash of the tournament.

During RCB’s chase, Mayank sent a bullet straight down the middle stump while clocking a speed of 156.7 km/h in the eighth over. The ball was so fast that it caught Green off-guard while also drawing some praise from former India head coach Ravi Shastri who was on commentary duty in that game.

The epic clash between RCB and LSG began with the hosts winning the toss and choosing to bowl first. Quinton de Kock opened the innings for Lucknow, making an early impact by smashing 81 runs in 56 balls. His innings included a whopping eight boundaries and five sixes.

However, LSG were unable to maintain their momentum much longer as KL Rahul, Devdutt Padikkal and Marcus Stoinis were dismissed early. It was a 21-ball 40-run knock from Nicholas Pooran that helped Lucknow put up a score of 181/5 in the closing stages of the first half. Glenn Maxwell found the most impact for RCB as he scalped two wickets while giving away just 23 runs in his four-over spell.

In the next half, Virat Kohli and Faf du Plessis led the chase for RCB at home. Both batters were dismissed within the first five overs, leaving Bengaluru at 42/2. Things shifted from bad to worse after Glenn Maxwell was dismissed at a duck in two balls.

It was Cameron Green who fell next, followed by the dismissal of Anuj Rawat. Mahipal Lomror put up a hero’s knock of a 13-ball 33 but it wasn’t just enough to seal a victory for RCB. They lost all their wickets in the final over while putting up just 153 runs.

RCB have now lost three of the four matches they have played so far. Their only victory in the tournament came against Punjab Kings on March 25. They are currently in ninth place and will now be itching for a comeback. RCB will play their next match on April 6 against Rajasthan Royals.
