Team India skipper Rohit Sharma’s incredible gesture towards fans is earning him a ton of praise on social media. The ‘Hitman’ led India to their first Super Eight victory in the T20 World Cup 2024 on June 20. Playing at the Kensington Oval in Barbados, the Men in Blue put away the Afghans by 47 runs.
After the convincing win, Rohit took out some time and approached a section of Indian fans waiting in the stands. With his match kit still on, the skipper signed some items for the supporters who looked at the star opener in awe.

While Rohit Sharma didn’t have the best showing in Barbados, Suryakumar Yadav and Jasprit Bumrah rescued the game for India. Speaking in the post-match conference, Rohit discussed Sruyakumar and Hardik Pandya’s crucial partnership towards the end. This is what he said as per several media outlets – “SKY and Hardik’s partnership was critical at that point, we needed someone to bat deep, which they did”.

The Indian skipper also had special praise for his team’s star pacer Jasprit Bumrah who picked up three important wickets in the match. “We know Bumrah’s class and what he can do. Important for us to use him smartly regardless of conditions. He is willing to take responsibility and he has been doing it for years,” Rohit said.
India is not set to play against Bangladesh in their second T20 World Cup Super 8 game on Saturday, June 22.

Rohit Sharma and company are next set to face a Najmul Shanto Hossain-led Bangladesh. The Super Eight clash will be hosted tomorrow, June 22, at Sir Vivian Richards Stadium.
