As for Rahul Tewatia, the Haryana-born cricketer will be looking to make some impact against the Delhi Capitals on Wednesday. In recent years, the batter has developed a reputation for being a hard-hitting finisher. He had first gone viral in 2020 when he smashed five sixes against Sheldon Cottrell in a single over while playing for the Rajasthan Royals.
He ended up tying Chris Gayle for the record of most sixes in a single over of the tournament’s history. He was bought by the Gujarat Titans in the 2022 IPL auction. Tewatia won the trophy in his debut season and is enjoying a strong start this year with 103 runs in six games.
Shubman Gill will be leading the charge for the Gujarat Titans’ clash against the Delhi Capitals. The young batter donned the skipper’s role after Hardik Pandya left for Mumbai Indians ahead of the 2024 season. Under his captaincy, Gujarat have won three and lost as many games in the tournament. They will now be looking to bag a fourth victory against the Rishabh Pant-led squad.
