Musheer came out to bat at No. 3 for India B in the Duleep Trophy 2024 match against India A and completed his century with a single on the 205th ball.

Star Indian batter Sarfaraz Khan’s younger brother Musheer Khan has scored a century for India B on Thursday (September 5) in the Duleep Trophy 2024 match against India A, which is currently underway at the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru. The 19-year-old right-handed batter came out to bat at No. 3 for the Abhimanyu Easwaran-led side and faced a total of 205 balls to cross the 100-run mark.

During his stay at the crease so far, Musheer has scored 10 fours and two sixes.

He has added 108 runs for the eighth wicket with Navdeep Saini (29) to help India B bounce back from 94 for 7 in 43.5 overs to post a fighting total of 202 runs for the loss of seven wickets in 79 overs at the close of the first day’s play.

After Musheer crossed the 100-run mark with a single to join an elite list of Indian batters who have managed to score a century in the first innings of the maiden Duleep Trophy match, Sarfaraz was seen celebrating with his other India B teammates in the dressing room.

The video of Khan brother’s celebration after Musheer’s third first-class century was shared by BCCI on its official X handle, and it went viral on the internet.

Sarfaraz, who made his Test debut for India against England in Rajkot earlier this year, was unable to do much with the bat for India B against India A. He came to out at No. 4 after Yashasvi Jaiswal’s dismissal but could only manage to score nine runs from 35 balls. He was sent back to the pavilion by Avesh Khan, who trapped him in front of the wickets.

2 wickets each for Avesh, Akash & Khaleel

India A pacer Khaleel Ahmed, Akash Deep, and Avesh Khan impressed with their bowling on Day 1 of the India A vs India B Duleep Trophy match. The trio picked up two wickets each for the Shubman Gill-led side, but star spinner Kuldeep Yadav wasn’t able to take any wicket in his quota of 14 overs.
