A 13-year-old boy in Kalyan, Maharashtra, tragically took his own life, allegedly due to harassment at school. The Class 8 student left a suicide note accusing a teacher and some classmates, according to NDTV. The boy, a student at a well-known school in Kalyan East near Mumbai, was found dead at his home on Sunday evening and his family members were not present at the time. Police have registered a case, and investigations are ongoing.
On July 26, a 15-year-old student in Pune died by suicide, in yet another very disturbing incident. Police investigations found that the boy had carefully planned his own death. Among his possessions was a comprehensive plan written in a notebook with exact steps and procedures, which startled the authorities and parents.
The Class 10 student died after plunging from the 14th storey of his apartment complex in Pune’s Pimpri-Chinchwad neighbourhood. Officers discovered a suicide note and a handwritten plan detailing the manner and place of his intended act, as well as sketches of the flat layout and nstructions for the jump.
In June, a 15-year-old boy from Arunachal Pradesh reportedly died by suicide just a day after being expelled from school for using a mobile phone, which is prohibited. Chirang Kri, a Class 10 student, was found hanging from a tree near the Lohit River by the school in Amliang, Anjaw district, according to Superintendent of Police Rike Kamsi.
