The Central Board of Secondary Education is expected to declare the results of classes 10 and 12. CBSE secretary Himanshu Gupta has shared that the results of classes 10 and 12 will be declared in May. He, however, has not declared the exact date. In a previous instance, a fake notice was also circulated which said that the CBSE would announce the results on May 1, 2024. The results will be announced on the official website of CBSE at cbse.gov.in, results.cbse.nic.in.
The board has denied issuing any such notice or the circular. The class 10 examination was conducted from February 13 to March 15 while the class 12 exams happened between February 15 and April 2.
To clear the board exam, the candidates need at least 33 per cent in every subject and in total. The exams were conducted in a single shift from 10:30 AM to 01:30 PM. Reportedly, 39 lakh students attempted these exams this year across 877 exam centres in 26 countries.
Steps to Check the CBSE Result 2024
1. Click on the official website of CBSE and then click on the homepage.
2. On the homepage, click on the link for CBSE Result 2024.
3. Log into the account using the allotted credentials like roll number and other details and then submit it.
4. After filling in the credentials, class 10th and 12th results will be shown on the screen.
5. After checking the results, don’t forget to download them and then take out a printout of the same as well. This is because the result displayed on the website would be considered a provisional one until the schools have distributed the official one.
This year, CBSE has decided to make the results available on other platforms as well besides the official website. It is because it aims to tackle the massive traffic on the website by the users while checking the results. These platforms include the DigiLocker website, the DigiLocker mobile app and the UMANG app. DigiLocker is a secure cloud-based platform for the storage, sharing and verification of documents and certificates.
