The Directorate of Technical Education, Chhatisgarh has started accepting registrations for Phase 1 of the Chhattisgarh Pre-Engineering Test (CG PET) counselling 2024. Interested candidates who passed the exam can now register for the CG PET counselling 2024 by going to the official website, cgdteraipur.cgstate.gov.in.
Candidates need to know that the registration period for this will be open until August 12, 2024. The announced schedule states that on August 14, 2024, the CG PET counselling 2024 seat allotment result for phase 1 will be announced. In addition to an institute-level phase, there will be two phases to the CG PET counselling in 2024,
CET PET 2024: Eligibility Criteria
For the unreserved category, candidates must have earned at least 45% of the total points in their Class 12 diploma from an accredited board. Candidates from Chhattisgarh who fall under the reserved category must have at least 40%. Following the regulations of the relevant board, each of the three primary subjects recommended by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) must be passed independently in both the theory and practical exams.
If the candidates have completed a Diploma in Vocational Studies in the same or related subject area as specified by the AICTE, they may apply for the same from a recognised board or university.
CG PET 2024: Counselling Process
The CG PET counselling process requires registration, choice filling, fee payment, seat allotment and reporting to the allotted institute. Candidates need to register themselves by entering their personal details, uploading the scanned document and paying the registration charges. Candidates will need to lock in the choices of their preferred institute to be eligible for a further round of the document verification process.

Following each counselling round, the authorities will post the CG PET 2024 seat allocation on their website. The Chhattisgarh state quota seats are allocated based on the results of the CG PET 2024, while the JEE Main scores will determine the allocation of seats for the remaining states. In order to confirm their admission, candidates must download their CG PET seat assignment letter 2024 and bring it to the designated institute.
