The Council has urged school principals to notify all students, instructors, parents, and guardians of the change in the CISCE syllabus

The Council for the Indian School Certificate Examinations (CISCE) has issued the revised Indian School Certificate (ISC) or Class 12 syllabus for the academic years 2025 and 2026, which is a significant development for students throughout India.

Several changes have been made to the newly revealed curriculum to improve the educational framework and match it with increasing academic standards. Notably, beginning with the academic year 2025, a variety of occupational disciplines will be introduced into the ICSE-level curriculum under Group 3.

ISC Group 3 offers a wide range of vocational subjects that lead to a variety of career paths. These career paths include Assistant Beauty Therapist (59), Assistant Hair Stylist (61), Cashier (74), Early Years Physical Activity Facilitator (75), Dietetic Aide (71), and Auto Service Technician (96). Furthermore, vocational studies will encompass robots and artificial intelligence (AI).

This decision by the CISCE is designed to provide students with a larger range of educational choices, including the opportunity to pursue practical skills in addition to traditional academic disciplines. The inclusion of vocational subjects demonstrates an awareness of students’ different skills and career goals.

In addition to the ISC or Class 12 syllabus, the CISCE Class 11 curriculum for the academic year 2024 is now accessible on the board’s official website at cisce.org.

The Council has urged school principals to notify all students, instructors, parents, and guardians of the change in the CISCE syllabus.
