The National Testing Agency, or NTA, has released the Joint Council of Scientific and Industrial Research-University Grants Commission National Eligibility Test (CSIR UGC NET ) 2024 tentative answer key,. Candidates who took the exam can now check and download the answer key, response sheet and question paper from csirnet.nta.ac.in.
The official notice reads, “The National Testing Agency has uploaded the Provisional Answer Keys along with the Question Papers with Recorded Responses on the website https://csirnet.nta.ac.in/ for inviting challenges (if any) to the Provisional Answer Key of any question ONLINE only.”
Candidates must input their Application Number and Date of Birth in the designated section to get the Joint CSIR UGC NET Answer Key. On the official website, candidates can also contest the answer key by paying a non-refundable charge of Rs 200 for each question. The last date for challenge submission is August 11 till 11:50 pm.
CSIR UGC NET 2024: How to Challenge Answer Key
Step 1 : Click on the official website, csirnet.nta.ac.in.
Step 2: Look for the “Joint CSIR-UGC NET JULY-2024: Click here to Answer Key Challenge” link and click it.
Step 3: The login page will be displayed to you. Input your login credentials including your application number and date of birth.
Step 4: Now, select the CSIR UGC NET answer key.
Step 5: Click “View Question Paper” to check the question paper and answers. Click the “Click to view/Challenge Answer Key” link to submit a challenge for the answer keys.
Step 6: The order of the question IDs will be shown. The answer key that NTA uses is shown by the ID next to the question under “Correct Option(s)”.
Step 7: Click the checkboxes to choose the appropriate Option IDs from the columns if you would like to contest any response and attach a valid proof with it.
Step 8 : Now, you can pay the required fee and submit the form. Screen save the form for later use.
The answer key will be changed and all candidate’s replies will be modified if any challenges are upheld. The challenges will be reviewed, and the final solution key will be utilised to prepare and announce the results. Candidates will not get updates from the NTA regarding the status of their challenges. Candidates should note that the exam subject expert’s decision will be final.
This year the CSIR UGC NET 2024 exam was conducted on July 25, 26 and 27. Two shifts were held for the examination on July 25 and 26. The first session was from 9 am to 12 noon and the second shift was from 3 pm to 6 pm.
The NTA stated in an official notification that the test was administered to 2,25,335 students in the Computer Based Test (CBT) method at 348 examination centres spread across 187 cities nationwide. NTA administered the CBT mode exam of the Joint CSIR UGC NET examination for Junior Research Fellowship (JRF), Lectureship (LS), Assistant Professor and PhD programmes.
