GATE 2024 Results: Four IIT (ISM) Dhanbad Students In Top 10
Hritideepan Pradhan clinched the first rank in the country in the GATE Fuel Minerals and Metallurgical Engineering examination.

Students from the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) – Indian School of Mines (ISM), Dhanbad, have recorded outstanding performance in GATE 2024 (Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering) exam. Several students from IIT Dhanbad have attained remarkable rankings across various subjects in the exam. Hritideepan Pradhan, a student from the institute, clinched the first rank in the country in the GATE Fuel Minerals and Metallurgical Engineering examination. Adarsh Bansal, from the same branch, secured the sixth rank; while Nischay Kumar attained the 19th rank nationwide. The accomplishments of these students sparked celebrations among both faculty members and their peers in the department.

Hritideepan Pradhan was placed in Metallurgical Engineering at IIT Dhanbad in 2019. Hailing from Odisha, Hritideepan is the son of a NALCO employee and his mother is a homemaker. His achievement of securing the first rank nationwide has brought immense pride, not just to his family, but also to the entire faculty and student community within the department. Regarding his plans, Hritideepan mentioned that his campus placement is at Jindal, and he will soon decide on his next steps.

Another student Devesh Kumar Singh, a Petroleum Engineering student, achieved the second rank nationwide. Devesh hails from Mahuda, Dhanbad. He studied from grades 1 to 10 at DAV, Mahuda. Devesh has already secured a placement with an annual package of Rs 23 lakh in a Mumbai-based company. Students from other departments have also scored good rank in the GATE exam.

About Graduate Aptitude Test 2024

The GATE 2024 examination was conducted on February 3, 4, 10, and 11. Afterwards, the provisional answer key was provided on February 19. The final answer key was published on March 14 with results declared on March 16.

The Indian Institute of Science (IISc) Bengaluru is set to publish the scorecards for the Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) 2024 on March 23. Candidates who appeared in the GATE 2024 exam can access their scorecards by visiting the official website, gate2024.iisc.ac.in.
