One can succeed with luck to an extent, but it is the hard work that yields results. However, luck does not always favour everyone. Often despite hard work, one’s luck fails to shine which leads to self-doubt and distress. But it is during these times when one should have patience and keep trying. Similar is the story of Purnia’s young man, Raviraj.
Raviraj, a 27-year-old completed his graduation and began focusing on general competition exams. His first goal was to clear the Bihar Public Service Commission (BPSC) for which he worked very hard, and took his exams, but unfortunately did not succeed. In an interview, Raviraj mentioned the importance of maintaining a balance between success and failure. He claimed that due to his small mistake, he slipped into “depression and lost all interest in his studies”. It was only after getting the right kind of guidance he was able to achieve success and is now busy inspiring the youth.
In an interview with Local18, Raviraj shared that he was heartbroken after facing consecutive failures in life. He was barely able to concentrate and was restless. He also felt that all his friends were succeeding in life, except for him. He kept pondering upon his shortcomings and gradually “slipped into depression”. It was his parents- father Sushil Kumar Shah and mother Kiran Devi along with his teacher, AK Mishra, also the director of a coaching class brought him back on the right track by motivating him.
They became his support and encouraged him to continue working towards his goals. He later secured a good job. While he has been unable to clear his BPSC exams, he is now actively contributing to West Champaran for Bihar Administrative Service (BAS). He has become a beacon of light for the youth there. His constant failures are the stepping stones towards his success. He inspires youth to continue working hard and never forget their purpose. He urges the youth to learn from his failures and mistakes.
