Indo-Tibetan Border Police Invites Applications To Fill 202 Vacancies
The ITBP registration process begins today, August 12, for the posts of Carpenter, Plumber, Mason and Electrician.

The Indo-Tibetan Border Police (ITBP) has released the official notification for the recruitment of a Constable (Pioneer). Under this, there will be a recruitment for 202 vacant posts for Carpenter, Plumber, Mason and Electrician. Interested candidates can apply from their official website: recruitment.itbpolice.nic.in. The registration process begins from today, August 12, 2024. The last date for application is September 10, 2024.

After permanent recruitment to the post of Constable (Pioneer) in ITBP, salary will be given as per Pay Scale Level-3 in Pay Matrix Rs 21,700 to Rs 69,100 (according to Seventh Central Pay Commission).

Eligibility Criteria:

For the post of Constable (pioneer), candidates must be between the ages of 18 years to 23 years. Candidates should not have been born before September 11, 2001, and after September 10, 2006.

To apply for the Constable (Pioneer) posts, candidates must pass their class 10 examination and hold an ITI certificate in the relevant trade.

Physical requirements are also very important for this post. Male candidates must have a height of 170cm whereas for the female candidates, it is 157cm. The chest measurement of a male candidate should be 80cm with a minimum expansion of 5cm. For the weight, candidates must be proportionate to height and age as per medical standards.

Application Fee:

The application fee for the General/UR, OBC and EWS category candidates is Rs 100 whereas for SC/ ST/ Female and Ex-servicemen, it is free of cost. The fee can be paid online.

Exam Pattern:

The exam pattern for the ITBP Constable (Pioneer) recruitment technically includes the Physical Efficiency Test (PET). This evaluates physical fitness with tasks like running, long jump, etc. It also includes the Physical Standard Test (PST) which measures height, chest and weight against specified standards.

The written examination is also a part of it. Candidates are given multiple-choice questions based on General Knowledge, Mathematics, General English or Hindi and Trade.

Document verification takes place to ensure all the eligibility criteria and the qualification. Lastly, a medical examination takes place to check the candidate’s overall health and fitness.
