Students who appeared in the Madhya Pradesh (MP) state board in Classes 10 and 12 are awaiting their results. Ahead of the result declaration, one of the surprising incidents came across an examiner, while checking the answer sheets in Indore. While finding notes and requests for good marks in the examination is common, a student from Madhya Pradesh board had written: “Sir, I was not well and could not study, but you can save me. For God’s sake, please give me a passing number so that I can marry.” There were also some other cases wherein a student was found to write the answers in Hindi, while the examination was of Sanskrit subject. Apart from that, some of the students have also appeared in the examination in Hinglish as well.
Many other slips and notes have also been found from the answer sheets which have requests for the examiner to award them with good scores so that they can pass.
One of the answer sheets of the Hindi language paper found a student’s surprising answers as well. A teacher Sunil Aggarwal mentioned that one of the students who had written an answer for Set A had been copied by another student appearing for Set B. Without rectifying the answer as per set, the copying student wrote the same answers.
Currently, over 400 teachers are reportedly checking the answer copies in different districts of the state. According to The Free Press Journal’s recent report, around 50 percent of the answer sheets of the examination have been checked by now. While previously the results were speculated to be released by the middle of April, the MP board has hinted at disclosing the result by the end of April.
Starting from February 6, the examination was concluded on March 5. As per the reports, around one crore answer sheets from around 17 lakh students of 10th and 12th grades are being evaluated at different centres in the state.
