The NTA has changed the tie-breaking procedure this year. The tie-breaking procedure specified by the exam conducting body will prioritise candidates based on their marks or percentile scores in Biology, Chemistry, and Physics, respectively. Candidates will then be ranked based on the proportion of correct and incorrect answers in all subjects.

The medical entrance exam will be held for 3 hours and 20 minutes. The exam will have two sections — Section A and Section B. Section A comprises 35 questions for each subject, and Section B contains 15 questions. The NEET UG 2024 scoring scheme states that students will receive four marks for each right response and one mark will be deducted for each wrong answer. The results will be released on June 14.
