Tamil Nadu NEET UG 2024 Counselling: Documents Required During Reporting
While reporting to the assigned colleges, candidates are required to carry the following documents:
–– NEET UG admit card and scorecard
–– Class 10 and 12 marksheets
–– Transfer certificate
–– Community certificate
–– Nativity certificate
–– Other relevant documents for specific quotas (e.g., NRI, minority status)
–– Certificate for proof of study from Class 6 to Class 12 for the candidates who have studied completely in Tamil Nadu
–– Income certificate
Meanwhile, the Tamil Nadu government has proposed that students be admitted to medical colleges based on scores from Class 12. The centralized exam conducted only on a single day, puts an enormous amount of pressure on the students, especially those from economically backward and rural backgrounds, the state govt had said. CM M K Stalin had said the DMK will not stop till Tamil Nadu gets an exemption from NEET UG. Meanwhile, the opposition BJP slammed the ruling party in the state for “politicising” NEET and said that the exam came into existence during the Congress-led UPA regime.
