Teachers in Gujarat’s Kutch are demonstrating their generosity in a remarkable way beyond their classrooms. This Teachers’ Day, over 200 teachers have committed to donate blood. The Primary Teachers’ Society in Bhuj Taluka has organised a blood donation camp for the eighth consecutive year, showcasing the dedication of local teachers to helping patients in need.

Every year on Teachers’ Day, the Primary Teachers’ Society organises a blood donation camp, with many teachers enthusiastically signing up to participate in this blood donation drive. According to Ghanshyamsinh Jadeja, the President of the Primary Teachers’ Society, the primary goal of the camp is to support kidney and dialysis patients.

“By taking part in this event on Teachers’ Day, these teachers are extending their role beyond the classroom to become essential blood donors,” Jadeja explained. The society’s effort is supported by the staff of Lions Hospital who facilitate the blood donation process.

The collaboration between the Primary Teachers’ Society and Lions Hospital ensures that the camp runs smoothly and the event is successful. Lions Hospital supports this initiative by offering free dialysis services.

The dedication of these teachers not only highlights their commitment to their community but also inspires others to consider blood donation and contribute to the well-being of those in need.
