The University of Wollongong, Australia established its first campus in India at the Gujarat International Finance Tec-City (GIFT City), Gandhinagar. Now, the university has announced the courses, i.e.- Master of Computing (Data Analytics) and Graduate Certificate Course in Computing Program in July 2024.
The registration process for admission to these courses has also started. Interested candidates can apply through the official website of the University, i.e-uow.edu.au/india. The Master of Computing program is designed as a bridge course for specialisation in Computing and Data Analytics. Bridge courses give a basic knowledge of the subject to be taught at an advanced level. It means that this course will be useful to candidates who don’t have even an elementary education regarding computers. Eligibility Criteria
The candidate must be a graduate to get admission to courses offered at GIFT City Campus, Gujarat. They should also have work experience and qualify for the English language assessment test at IELTS. The overall score should be 6.5 or less. Students will secure a chance to study for a semester at this campus.
Fee
The fee for the Master of Computing (Data Analytics) course at the University of Wollongong is 27900 A$ i.e. Rs 15,27,599. The fee for the Graduate Certificate Program in Computing is 9300 A$ i.e. Rs 5,09,199. The University has provided this information regarding these aspects on its website.
Course Duration
As per the information given by the university, the Graduate Certificate Course in Computing can be finished in six months. It is divided into short sessions of 10 weeks. In each session, one subject will be taught to the students. Students have the option to choose a subject. The Graduate Certificate Course is a part-time program and the Master of Computing (Data Analytics) is a 1.5-year full-time course. The University has provided the option to complete this full-time course as part-time as well. The candidates who are opting for part-time studies have to choose one or two subjects in every session.
