UP Board Exam 2024: The high school and intermediate examinations of UP Board will conclude today, March 9. In the first shift today, the class 12 Gujarati, Urdu and Punjabi language subject exams will be held at 3409 examination centres. Whereas the examination of Intermediate and Vocational category subjects will be conducted at 1091 examination centres. As many as 95983 candidates have registered for these exams, including 63508 candidates in high school and 32475 candidates in intermediate.
In the second shift, the high school Electrician, Disaster Management exams will be held at one examination centre. The culture and agriculture exam for class 12 students will be held across 5613 examination centres in the state today. A total of 1,27,978 candidates, including 37 high school candidates and 1,27,941 intermediate candidates, will appear in the UPMSP examination 2024 on March 9.
This means a total of 2,23,924 candidates will appear on the last day of examination today, UP Board Secretary Dibya Kant Shukla has announced.
Furthermore, this year, more than 55 lakh students had applied for the classes 10 and 12 exams which include 29,47,311 candidates in the high school category and 25,77,997 candidates in the intermediate category.
The Uttar Pradesh Madhyamik Shiksha Parishad (UPMSP) will begin the evaluation of intermediate and high school answer papers on March 16 and it will continue till March 31. However, the board has decided not to carry out any evaluation work between March 24 and 26. A total of 94,802 examiners have been appointed for the extensive task of evaluating 1.76 crore high school answer sheets, while 52,295 examiners have been appointed to evaluate 1.25 crore intermediate test answer sheets.
A total of 116 evaluation centres have been set up for the evaluation of class 12 answer sheets and 131 evaluation centres set up for the evaluation of class 10 answer sheets. Of the 260 centres, 83 government and 177 non-government-aided secondary schools have been designated as evaluation hubs.
