UPPSC Begins Registration For Group C Technical Assistant Roles

The Uttar Pradesh Subordinate Services Selection Commission (UPSSSC) has started the application process for recruitment to 3446 vacant posts of Group C. Under this, there will be recruitment for the post of Technical Assistant in the Agriculture Department of UP.

Interested candidates can apply for the vacancies by visiting UPSSSC official website at https://upsssc.gov.in/. According to the released notification, the last date to apply for the post is May 31, 2024, and corrections can be in the application form until June 7, 2024.

Eligibility Criteria

The students who want to apply for the post of Technical Assistant in the Agriculture Department should have the passing certificate of the UPSSSC PET 2023 exam. Along with this, the candidates are required to have a bachelor’s degree in agriculture or its equivalent such as a B.Sc. (Hons.) Agriculture, B.Sc. Horticulture/B.Sc. (Hons.) Horticulture, B.Sc. Forestry/B.Sc. (Hons.) Forestry, B.Tech. Agricultural Engineering, B.Sc. (Home Science)/Community from the University of Agriculture and Technology Must have a four-year degree in science.

Age Limit

As of July 1, 2024, the minimum age to apply for the posts is 21 whereas the maximum age limit is 40 for the applicants. Reserved category candidates will be given relaxation in the maximum age limit as per the rules.

Selection Process

For the recruitment process, the candidates have to pass the Technical Assistant Group C Main Examination. The candidates will be selected to appear in the exam based on the UPSSSC PET 2023 score. Those candidates will not be selected for the main examination whose actual score or normalised score in PET 2023 is zero or negative.
