The 200-mark question paper will have 140 questions from General Studies and 60 questions from General Hindi.

Uttar Pradesh Public Service Commission (UPPSC) has offered much-needed relief to the candidates by making important changes in the Review Officer and Assistant Review Officer (RO/ARO) Recruitment Examination 2023. Now, there will be only one question paper on General Studies and General Hindi in the preliminary examination. As per the recent notification, both General Studies and General Hindi will have objective questions. The 200-mark question paper will have 140 questions from General Studies and 60 questions from General Hindi. This means that each question will carry just one mark. The time limit is three hours. Candidates can expect questions related to general vocabulary and grammar.

Previously, the preliminary examination of the Uttar Pradesh Public Service Commission’s RO/ARO, was conducted in two shifts. The General Studies exam was held in shift one and General Hindi in the other. Now, to make the exam convenient for candidates, the commission decided to club the papers together. It should be noted that no changes have been made in the main examination. There have been no changes or revisions to the syllabus of the subjects of the preliminary examination and the main examination.

Prashant Pandey, the media in charge of the Competitive Student Struggle Committee announced that the amendment in the Review Officer (RO) and Assistant Review Officer (ARO) Examination 2023 by the Uttar Pradesh Public Service Commission (UPPSC) is a positive step. He even welcomed this step and said that this decision of the commission would provide relief to the students. Previously, students had to wait for three hours for the one-hour Hindi question paper of 60 questions. The Competitive Student Struggle Committee demanded that the gap between the two shifts in the Provincial Civil Service (PCS) exam should be reduced to one hour instead of three long hours.

The UPPSC has announced the date for the UPPSC RO ARO Exam. The RO ARO Prelims Exam 2024 is scheduled for December 22. The admit cards for the RO ARO exam will be released at least seven to 10 days before the exam date.
