Wrong Results Of 11,000 Students In Bihar’s VKSU To Be Corrected By Month End
Veer Kunwar Singh University is concerned that students may create a ruckus to correct the results.

Veer Kunwar Singh University’s 11,000 students’ results for the graduation semester were found to be wrong. Now, as per the notification, these results will be corrected by the end of October. Examination Controller Professor Anwarul Haq Ansari said that the students whose results are wrong have to write a letter to the principal of their respective colleges along with the application. The application will then be verified and sent to the university by October 25. Strict instructions have been imposed regarding the movement of students in the university for result correction. Veer Kunwar Singh University is concerned that students may create a ruckus to correct the results. This has angered the students. Student leaders are also threatening to stage protests and hunger strikes every day. The university has made full preparations to correct the results of the second-semester students by October 30.

In an interview with Local18, Professor Anwarul Haq Ansari said that after receiving applications from colleges, a meeting of the principals and examination controller of all colleges will be held on October 27. Instructions will be issued for improving the results and it will push for the release of the results soon.

One student leader, Chhotu Singh, in an interview with Local18, shared that a large number of students have failed. He accused the authorities of negligence in releasing the results. He further added that 90 percent of the students have failed the internal examination by just one mark. This shows that those who were marking the answer sheets may have made a mistake or did not count the marks properly.

As per Chhotu Singh, in Maharaja College, a majority of the students have scored one to three marks less than the passing marks in the internal examination in various subjects including psychology. Similarly, more than 2,000 students have failed the practical examination.

Veer Kunwar Singh University was established in 1992 under the Bihar University Act 1976. It has been named after Kunwar Singh, a national hero and a distinguished freedom fighter of 1857. It is located in Bihar’s Arrah.
