Clash Erupts Between Two Groups of Patna ISKCON Temple Committee, Several Injured
Supporters of ISKCON temple president and vice-president clashed during a meeting which led to the confrontation. So far, neither party has filed a police complaint.

A clash broke out between two groups of the management committee at Patna’s ISKCON temple, eventually leading to a stampede outside the temple premises, injuring several people, police said.

The confrontation broke out between supporters of the ISKCON temple president and those backing the vice-president, police said adding that a meeting had been called between the two groups to discuss an issue, during which the incident took place.

The police reached the spot and have questioned eight to 10 people from both the groups and took them into custody.

So far, neither party has filed a police complaint. It has been reported that tensions between the two groups had been brewing for several months.

Speaking to News 18, Patna Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Rajiv Mishra said that a fierce fight broke out between two groups supporting the president and vice-president of the ISKCON temple management committee. SSP Mishra added that the group supporting the president quickly overpowered the other, and those backing the vice-president were chased down and beaten. This further enraged the supporters of the vice-president. The police are presently investigating the case.
