Salman Khan Never Got It Easy, Says Nephew Ayaan Agnihotri; Reveals How He Got Uncle’s ‘NoD of Approval’ | Exclusive
Ayaan Agnihotri, who also goes by his stage name Agni, recently unveiled a track titled Party Fever.

After Alizeh Agnihotri, yet another third-generation Khan recently made his debut in the entertainment industry. Her younger brother Ayaan Agnihotri, who also goes by his stage name Agni, unveiled a track titled Party Fever. Ayaan has not only penned the lyrics for the song but has also rapped some portions. It also features his uncle, Salman Khan, in a cameo, who has also given additional dialogues for it.

In a super exclusive conversation with News18 Showsha, Ayaan says that though he’s thankful to have Salman feature in Party Fever, getting him onboard was no cakewalk. “With mamu what happens is that if I or any of my siblings and cousins go up to him and tell him that we want to do something, he tells us to go do it and then show him. Only if he likes it, he let us know if he wants to be a part of it. It’s never like, ‘Oh, let’s do it!’” Ayaan tells us.

Emphasising how his superstar uncle has always made sure that the line between personal and professional lives never gets blurred, Ayaan says, “He’s very clear about these things. He wants to know if we’re serious about what we’re doing. With him, it’s always very professional. He doesn’t want us to feel or give us the impression that we’re going to get it easy especially from him because he never got it easy.”

This, according to the young musician, stems from the fact that Salman’s own career trajectory was marked with challenges despite belonging to a family with a rich lineage. “He had to work for a very long time to be where he’s at right now. He always made it clear right since our childhood that if we do something well and show him that we’re capable, only then he’ll support it wholeheartedly,” he states.

So, how did the track come about? “I was recording my EP, a short album of six songs. I was at Aditya Dev’s house where Payal (Dev) di made me listen to a track called Zoom Zoom. She said that they’re struggling to crack it for some time and told me to try writing its lyrics. I left the studio at eleven o’clock, went back home and sent them a version of the song that I wrote by 1:30 am that night. I had written it for Payal di and back then I didn’t know that I was going to be in it. Then a couple of renditions happened and they told me to put my verse in and that’s how the entire song came about,” he recalls.

As for the music video, it was Salman himself who decided his shots in it. “He really liked Party Fever. We had shot the song and when it was ready, mamu saw the cut and gave me a nod of approval. Closer to the release, we requested him if he could promote the song and do the hook step for us. He agreed instantly and even suggested the shots he wanted to do including him flashing his bracelet in it,” Ayaan says.
