Manchester: David Moyes has launched a bid for Marouane Fellaini - signalling the end of Manchester United's pursuit of Cesc Fabregas. United boss Moyes has returned to Everton, for the Belgium midfielder - who has a 23.5 million pound buy-out clause.

Barcelona midfielder Fabregas had been Moyes' No1 target, but the former Arsenal captain is all set to commit his future to the club. United have had two bids turned down and United have finally decided to end the pursuit.

New Everton boss Roberto Martinez will be determined to keep Fellaini, but the Belgian powerhouse wants to play in the Champions League and would surely be tempted to make this move.

Talks are on early stages so it might take some time for the deal to be concluded. There are still three weeks to go before the transfer window ends.
