London: Fulham defender Sascha Riether has been suspended for three matches for stamping on Manchester United midfielder Adnan Januzaj during a Premier League match.

The English Football Association had charged the German right back with violent conduct after retrospectively reviewing video evidence of an incident that was missed by match officials at Craven Cottage on Saturday.

Riether accepted the charge and his ban begins with immediate effect, ruling him out of league games against Liverpool, Swansea and West Ham.
