France Under-17 international Olivier Kemen has become the first summer signing for the Premier League club Newcastle United, with the midfielder coming to St. James's Park from the French club Metz, shieldsgazette.com reported on Thursday.
The 16-year-old had last month hinted of joining Newcastle. "Newcastle is a big team, and they look after young players. If they agree everything with Metz, I will join them.
"There are some good French-speaking people there, so I can settle there fine on the guidance of everyone there," he had said.
