Wenger signs 3-year extension with Arsenal
Arsenal announced the deal on Saturday that will extend Wenger's stay at the Premier League club to almost 18 years.

London: Arsene Wenger has signed a three-year contract extension to coach Arsenal through to June 2014.

Arsenal announced the deal on Saturday that will extend Wenger's stay at the Premier League club to almost 18 years.

The 60-year-old Frenchman says "my heart belongs to Arsenal and my desire is to see this team win silverware" as his "commitment and drive are as strong and fresh as ever."

Arsenal has won three Premier League and four FA Cup titles under Wenger — including the double in 1998 and 2002 — but hasn't won a trophy since the 2005 FA Cup.

Arsenal chairman Peter Hill-Wood says Wenger "has masterfully transformed this football club" and "the exciting and compelling football we play under his stewardship is admired the world over."
