Are you also a YOU fan? Well there’s good news, the popular Netflix series YOU starring Penn Badgley as Joe Goldberg, an obsessive serial killer, is all set to return for one last time. The makers of the show have finally begun the shooting of the fifth and the final season of the show. Netflix took to their official social media handle and made the announcement sharing a behind-the-scenes image of the lead actor Penn Badgley’s Jor Goldberg in the New York City “where it all began” that raised fans’ excitement for the final season.
Taking to Instagram, Netflix shared the pic and captioned it, “back to where it all began. The 5th and final season of YOU is now in production.” The glimpse features Badgley donning an all-black outfit, with an intense look on his face, strolling down in New York city.

Soon after Netflix dropped the post, fans swamped down the comments section and expressed their excitement. A user commented, “The cutest serial killer ever.” Another wrote, “Lets goo..I just can’t wait.” A user mentioned, “Bring Joe back now! I miss you guys so much. Great series.”
The Season 5 will also feature Charlotte Ritchie as Kate, Joe’s new affection, Madeleine Brewer as Bronte “an enigmatic and free-spirited playwright who gets a job at Joe’s new bookstore,” Griffin Mathews, who will be seen playing Teddy Lockwood, Joe’s brother-in-law, and actor Anna Camp, as Raegan and Maddie Lockwood, Joe’s twin sister-in-law in pivotal roles. However, the makers have not announced the official streaming date of the fifth and the final season of the show.
Based on the novels by Caroline Kepnes, YOU follows the story of Joe (played by Penny Badgley), a hopeless romantic with a penchant for stalking and killing the women he claims to love, as well as anyone else who gets in his way. While Joe’s search for The One began in New York, it took him first to Los Angeles in Season 2, then to the suffocating suburbs of San Francisco in Season 3 and most recently London in the fourth season.
The season four of the show received mixed reviews from the fans and it left the audience on a cliffhanger with Joe on the run and starting again with Kate in New York.
