How to Control the Grim Reaper on Sims 3
Controlling the Grim Reaper on Sims 3 involves killing off a Sim and being persistent.
Steps

Using Cheats

Press Ctrl+⇧ Shift+C. In the top left corner (of your Sims game), you will see a small blue box. In that box, type testingcheatsenabled true. Press ↵ Enter.

Hold ⇧ Shift and left click the mailbox. Left click Force NPC... > Grim Reaper. When you see or hear the Grim Reaper come, pause the game a second after he comes or you hear him.

Hold ⇧ Shift and left click the Grim Reaper. Left click Object... > Delete it. Unpause, then hold ⇧ Shift and left click the mailbox; click Force NPC... > Grim Reaper again.

Look near your house and search for a Grim Reaper. If he is not moving, go to the main menu and save. Do not quit!

Load your saved game again and when you load in, pause. If your camera moves to your sim, move your camera back to the Grim Reaper. It is recommended to pause the game now, so the Grim Reaper doesn't run away.

Hold ⇧ Shift and left click the Grim Reaper. Click Add to active family.

Any time in-between 9:00 AM - 6:00 PM (Sim Time), go to the town hall.

Left click on the town hall. Select Change name. When it prompts you to select a Sim to change their name, click on the Grim Reaper.

Change the name to First Name "Grim" and Last Name "Reaper".

Adding Him to Your Family

Kill a Sim. Wait for the Grim Reaper to show up.

Press ⇧ Shift while clicking on the Grim Reaper. If possible, press Add to active family. Or, you could build a relationship with the Grim Reaper then marry him.

Enjoy controlling the Grim Reaper!

Using an Unlucky Sim

Have a Sim get killed. Mostly use a Sim with the "unlucky" trait, so the Grim Reaper will come and let them stay alive.

Have at least one or two Sims with the "Evil" trait in the area. This way, the Grim Reaper will try to strike up a conversation with an evil Sim.

Have the evil Sim interact with him. Maybe flirt a bit. Then hold Ctrl+⇧ Shift+C and press the Add to household option.

That's it! There you have it, you should be able to control the Grim Reaper, and possibly even marry him. If he doesn't stay, kill the unlucky Sim again and again, until he stays long enough for you to interact with him.

What's your reaction?
