Seen Happy Feet lately? Just want to show your appreciation for flightless birds? Use this tutorial to help you draw a cute baby penguin most closely resembling an Emperor Penguin chick. Get started at step number one below.
Draw the basic shapes of the body. Draw two fat circles and a large oval as shown. Sketch in guidelines for the features if you wish.
Draw a small circle for the eye. Add in a small beak on the same axis, with a faint line to look like a mouth.
Sketch in three ovals for each wing. You can have them in whatever position you'd like--the image to the right shows them bent at an angle. Sketch in color partitions as well.
Draw circles for the feet. Give your penguin three stubby toes on each foot with an arc coming up to show where the foot begins.
Outline and color in your penguin. Use mostly black and white, with maybe a little yellow or red for the chest. There you go: your very own baby penguin.
Finish with shading and other additional details.
