How to Insert a Row in Excel Using a Shortcut
There are ways in Excel to use your keyboard to add rows. You can use shortcuts on a PC/Mac or tablet, as long as you have a keyboard. This wikiHow will show you how to use shortcuts to insert rows in Excel.
Steps

Open an Excel worksheet. You can open a saved document or start a new one. This method works with any keyboard, either using the computer program or mobile application, on Mac or PC.

Select the cell you want to add a row above. This can be any cell within a row. You can use your mouse to select a cell, or press Ctrl+G (Windows) or ⌘ Cmd+G (Mac) to pull up a cell-selection window.

Press ⇧ Shift+Spacebar to select the entire row. If you want to add multiple rows, press and hold ⇧ Shift as you use the arrow keys to select nearby rows.

Press ⇧ Shift+Ctrl++ (Windows) or ⇧ Shift+⌘ Cmd++ (Mac). New rows will be inserted above your selection.

What's your reaction?
