The Flirtini is a vodka-based martini that is very known with the "Sex and the City" fans. Due to the prominent pink colour that it gives off, it's a fantastic "chick drink" that is popular for a girls' night in. For those whom don't drink alcohol, wanting a baby shower ladies drink, or just want to kick back without any alcoholic feeling, this mocktail / virgin version of it can be done simply. Here is how to make a virgin Flirtini.
Rim a martini glass. Sprinkle granulated sugar in a small saucer or plate. Wet the rim with a lime wedge and dip the rim in the sugar until thoroughly coated.
Muddle the lime juice with the raspberries in a cocktail shaker. This allows the flavors of the raspberries to come out and combine with the lime juice.
Measure and pour the juices into the shaker.
Shake well and strain into the martini glass.
Top the drink off with the ginger ale/apple cider.
Add the garnishes. You may use a thin lime or pineapple slice to the side of the glass. A popular garnish idea is also dropping a maraschino cherry into the drink.
