How to Type an Enye on PC or Mac

Windows

Press ⊞ Win+S. This opens the Windows search bar.

Type charmap. A list of matching results will appear.

Click Character Map. This brings up a list of characters you can insert into documents.

Click ñ. It’s near the bottom-right corner of the first page of characters. The ñ now appears next to “Characters to copy.”

Click Select. It’s near the bottom of the window.

Click Copy. The ñ is now copied to your clipboard.

Click the document where you want to insert the ñ.

Press Ctrl+V. The ñ is now added to your document.

macOS

Open the document where you want to insert an enye (ñ). You can type an enye into any document using a keyboard shortcut on your Mac.

Press and hold the ⌥ Option key on the keyboard. Don’t lift your finger.

Press the n key while continuing to hold ⌥ Option. The tilde will appear. Keep your finger on the ⌥ Option key.

Press n again. You have now created an ñ on your Mac.
