The seventh edition of the controversial reality show Bigg Boss Telugu finally premiered on the Star Maa TV channel on September 3. The show is hosted by Telugu star Nagarjuna. The show has now entered its second week. Currently, nine contestants have been nominated for elimination. These contestants are Shivaji, Pallavi Prashanth, Rathika Rose, Tasty Teja, Amardeep Chowdhary, Shakeela, Gautham Krishna, Shobha Shetty, and Yawar Prince. Out of these 9, only 1 contestant will be eliminated in the second week. According to reports, Tasty Teja, Shakeela, and Shobha Shetty may face elimination since they have got only 2 per cent votes. The chances of elimination are also higher for Amardeep since he only received 16 per cent of votes till now. Pallavi is leading the vote count with 42 per cent voting. Shivaji, who has been a pillar of support for Pallavi, received 21 per cent votes.
Amardeep’s low vote count can be attributed to his negative behaviour towards Pallavi. Many among the audience didn’t like how Amardeep made personal remarks against him during an argument. Amardeep had even gone on to make some distasteful comments against Pallavi. Gradually, the other members, including Shobha Shetty and Aata Sandeep, also turned hostile towards him. Viewers were taken by surprise when Rathika, Pallavi’s friend in the show, also turned against him. Pallavi has maintained a tough attitude toward all the hatred and has not backed off from the show yet.
Pallavi Prashanth has catapulted to fame with this show and is the first commoner contestant of this season. He is a farmer and lives in a village situated in Hyderabad. He had entered the show with rice and soil of his land, as a gift to Nagarjuna. In return, Nagarjuna gifted him a mirchi (spice) tree. According to reports, Pallavi is getting a remuneration of Rs 1 lakh per week to participate in Bigg Boss Telugu 7. There is, however, no confirmation about this news. Pallavi has also dominated a lot of spotlight for his innocent attitude in the show.
