The US-based Indian CEO of a multinational software company died and its president suffered serious injuries in an accident during the silver jubilee celebrations of the Vistex Private Limited at Ramoji Film City in Hyderabad, Telangana.
The accident occurred when an iron cage contraption carrying them collapsed during the function on Thursday night.
The accident took place after the US-based company’s CEO Sanjay Shah and his colleague entered into an iron cage, which was to be lowered from a height. However, things didn’t go according to the plan and the iron chain supporting the cage broke on one side, making both of them to fell on the ground.
They were soon rushed to the hospital but Shah passed away while undergoing treatment. While his colleague’s condition is still serious.
A case has been registered against the Film City event management authorities based on a complaint made by another official of the company, news agency PTI reported.
