BANGALORE:  More than ten persons were injured as they were attacked with lethal weapons at Bangalore Turf Club (BTC) on Wednesday evening. It is said that an argument broke out between the Syces, those who look after the horse,  and the race-horse owners at 7 pm after a meeting to execute a pact between the Karnataka Racehorse Owners Association, Karnataka Trainers Association and Karnataka Race Kudure Karmikara Kshemabhivrudhi Sangha (KRKKK) to revise the service conditions of regular employees.Meanwhile, Dr K M Srinivasa Gowda, Chairman of BTC, said, “The charter of demands was considered and a draft was prepared”. The MoU, which was slated to be signed in the presence of Deputy Labour Commissioner was stalled as some representatives from KRKKKS pointed out some discrepancies. The panicked  race horse owners followed the Syces fearing that they may vent their anger on the horses. As they came near the horse stable, a mob attacked them with lethal weapons. and a boulder. Two race horse  owners and 10 representatives escaped with injuries. The High Grounds police rushed to the spot and arrested 25 Syces and booked them under attempt to murder and rioting cases. However, sources in the Turf Club claimed that some miscreants who were arrested were let free later and they were found in the BTF premises again.
