3 pilgrims killed, 10 injured as vehicle runs over them

Three pilgrims were killed and ten others injured when a vehicle hit them in Sikar district.

The pilgrims were walking towards Salasar Balaji temple when the mishap occurred near Lalana village in Nechwa area late Wednesday night, police said on Thursday.

The victims were rushed to a nearby hospital where Rajkuar, Yogesh and a woman identified as Santosh, were declared "brought dead", they said.

Three critically injured are being treated at SMS hospital in Jaipur and seven others in Sikar hospital, police said, adding that the vehicle's driver fled after the mishap and a search is on to trace his whereabouts.
