Two hospitals each from all taluks will also be included in the scheme, the Minister said.The state-level monitoring committee, the apex body for sanctioning the Karunya fund, which met here the other day had sanctioned assistance worth Rs 8.1 crore for 1,017 applicants. The total amount distributed under the scheme has now become Rs 1.5 crore, the Minister said.The meeting also decided to provide full assistance under Karunya scheme to RSBY beneficiaries. Earlier, the RSBY beneficiaries were given assistance after deducting the amount they availed of through that scheme.
