8 new cars, container go up in flames

SANGAREDDY (MEDAK): A container truck and eight brand-new cars in it went up in flames in a fire accident at Chiragpally in Zaheerabad mandal on Thursday night.The cars, four Tata Indigo Manzas and four Fiat Lineas, were being transported in the container from Pune to Jamshedpur. As the truck reached Chiragpally, the driver noticed sparks coming from the engine of the truck and spreading to the cars. He stopped the vehicle immediately and got down. Meanwhile, the sparks grew into a big fire and engulfed the container and the entire cargo, burning them completely.Meanwhile, traffic on the highway came to a halt and vehicles remained stranded for over two hours.
