NEW DELHI: All leaders of the Tamil Nadu Congress Committee (TNCC) should own up responsibility for the performance of the party in the local body elections, TNCC president K V Thangkabalu said here on Monday. Speaking to reporters, Thangkabalu said no single person could be blamed for the performance of the party that was not up to the expected level.“All of us in the Tamil Nadu Congress Committee should own up responsibility. The 13-member poll coordination committee will analyse the reasons,” he said. Stating that only the Congress faced the civic polls without the support of any party in Tamil Nadu, TNCC president expressed satisfaction that the party had seized significant number of positions. Fighting the polls alone gave an opportunity to understand the strength and weakness of the party, Thengkabalu noted.
