Andhra Pradesh Speaker Ayyanna Patrudu Surprises Commuters With Train Travel And Public Interaction

Speaker of Andhra Pradesh Legislative Assembly and Narsipatnam MLA (Member of Legislative Assembly), Ch Ayyanna Patrudu, is currently in the spotlight. According to Local 18 Andhra Pradesh, he was clicked along with his wife Padmavathi at the Tuni Railway Station, Andhra Pradesh. The Andhra Pradesh speaker was to travel by Godavari train to Vijayawada. was dressed in modest clothes, i.e.- a shirt and lungi. His wife was dressed in a sari. They were sitting at a cement block and were waiting for their train. The fellow commuters were shocked to see the politician amongst them without any VIP treatment, opting for transportation taken by the people in general. The Andhra Pradesh politician asked the people several questions, i.e.- their destination and well-being under the administration. He also inquired whether they were facing any other problems and their suggestions. The citizens were happy to see Ayyanna Patrudu’s simple nature and how he mixed up with the people.

Ayyanna Patrudu has won as an MLA several times and served in almost all ministerial posts. He mostly continues to visit Narsipatnam because his hometown is situated here. He has also served as a member of parliament from the Anakapalle, a suburb of Visakhapatnam in Andhra Pradesh.

Ayyanna Patrudu’s family in politics

As per an article published in the Times of India in 2014, he had asked for a ticket for his son Chintakayala Vijay from the Anakapalle seat. As per the reports, he felt that the visible presence of the people from the Koppula Velama community would ensure victory for his son. He had also relied on his cadre support in the constituency. Vijay became actively involved in the party during the elections conducted in 2013. He also took care of the N Chandrababu Naidu’s Vastunna Meekosam padayatra. Apart from these, he played an important role in the panchayat elections. However, at that time Chandrababu had not given any assurance to Ayyanna Patrudu about his son’s candidature in politics.

Chintakayala Vijay is currently serving as the State General Secretary of the Telugu Desam Party. He has completed his Masters in political management at George Washington University.
