THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The delay in publishing the engineering rank-list has created anxiety among students who dreamed of an admission to engineering colleges. However, the officials in the office of the Commissioner for Entrance Examinations (CEE) assured that there was nothing to worry. The reason for the anxiety was the delay in uploading the site for online submission of marks of qualifying examination for preparation of engineering rank-list and NATA score for architecture rank-list. The website is expected to be made available by the first week of June.S Santhosh, Joint Commissioner for Entrance Examinations, told Express that the results were expected to be published by June 25. The decision to consider the marks of the Plus-II examination along with the results of the entrance examination for admission to engineering courses was delaying the announcement of rank-list.It could be prepared by incorporating the Plus-II marks of the candidate. One of the problems was that the ranks can be published only after normalising the marks of other boards such as CBSE, ICSE and other state boards with the state higher secondary. The normalisation process can be done only after calculating the mean and mean deviation of these boards. There are over 30 boards conducting Plus-II-level examinations across the country.
