HYDERABAD: Though TDP chief N Chandrababu Naidu is averse to move the Supreme Court for a stay on the High Court direction to the CBI to investigate his riches, senior leaders of the party on Wednesday prevailed upon him to reconsider his decision.The leaders who included Yanamala Ramakrishnudu, Kadiam Srihari and Motkupalli Narasimhulu, tried to make Naidu see the reason in going to the Supreme Court since the issue was not limited to him alone but concerned the entire party.“We will discuss the issue again with our leader tomorrow.At the moment, Naidu is against going to the Supreme Court,” Ramakrishnudu said.After protracted deliberations at the meeting, the TDP appears to have decided to turn the tables against the Congress.“The petition against Naidu by YSRC honorary president YS Vijayamma is not only politically motivated, but also part of the deal that YS Jaganmohan Reddy has struck with the Congress when he visited Delhi in September,” Ramakrishnudu said.“Jagan had promised to support the UPA after the 2014 elections in return to slowing down of the CBI investigation into his riches.He also promised to make Naidu unpopular by making his mother file a petition in the High Court,” Ramakrishnudu said.After returning from Delhi, Jagan has toned down his attack on Congress and made his mother file petition against Naidu.This is an indication that Congress is behind Jagan’s petition against Naidu.
