BERHARMPUR: The demand for change of Congress leadership in Odisha is a paid news, said Jagdish Tytler, former Union minister and Odisha in-charge, on Monday. Tytler told mediapersons at Congress Bhawan here that it is the AICC president who decides the change. On OPCC vice-president Lulu Mohapatra’s demand for change in leadership, Tytler said nothing like that had come to his notice. He came down heavily upon the State Government for “hijacking UPA-led Central Government’s schemes”. “People are gradually realising this and their opinion will reflect in the 2014 elections. Congress will be back in the saddle in the State,” he said. To a question on the debacle of Congress during the last panchayat polls, he said BJD’s win was a result of money and muscle power. “Now, Congress has decided to strengthen the party at the grassroots by starting organisational activities from booth level, wherein problems of locals will be given priority,” he added.Tytler was here to attend the second zonal meeting of the party. He was accompanied by OPCC president Niranjan Patnaik and a number of party workers.
