BANGALORE: Pledging BJP’s support to Anna Hazare and his team, MP Anantkumar said that his party was committed to fight for a strong Jan Lokpal bill. Speaking at the inauguration of a free library funded by the Karnataka Yuvaka Sangha here, he said that the Prime Minister must be brought under the purview of the bill.“Anna’s bill must be implemented. Anna’s fast serves as a second warning to the Congress-led UPA at the centre,” he explained. He added that the bill brought out by UPA did not ‘reflect the sense of the Parliament’ and added that UPA convenor and Prime Minister Manmohan Singh ‘hoodwinked’ the Parliament. He added that his party had expressed its views by presenting a dissent note in the Parliament.Further, Anantkumar said that out of 28 MPs in the committee headed by A M Singhvi, only 11 of them had given their consent to the recommendations put forward by the committee. He implied that the report fails to incorporate the views of the members of the committee.
