The Crime Branch team will investigate the case against three, including the Vigilance Legal Adviser, for filing a fake petition against the Chief Information Officer and former Director General of Police, Siby Mathews.
The Vanchiyoor police had registered the case against Vigilance Legal Adviser RS Jyothi, former Vigilance SP KK Joshua, and VS Vineeth Kumar under Sections 120(b), 465, 479, 471 and 34 of the Indian Penal Code.
DGP Jacob Punnoose directed a Crime Branch investigation on the basis of the complaint filed by Jomon Puthanpurackal.
A similar fake case was filed against Siby Mathews on October 14, 2009, at the Thiruvananthapuram Vigilance Court, while he was the Chief of the State Intelligence Bureau.
