HYDERABAD: The CBI is likely to serve a notice on BP Acharya, former vice-chairman and managing director of the Andhra Pradesh Industrial Infrastructure Corporation (APIIC). Sources in the CBI said though Acharya did not figure in the respondents, who were already sent notices, it is likely that a notice would be served on him shortly. Acharya is said to be among the key persons who were actively involved in clinching the deal between Emaar and the APIIC. A case has already registered against Acharya and a few other officers after a public interest litigation (PIL) was filed in the ACB court. The ACB court directed the officials to submit a report after conducting probe.
