HYDERABAD: CPI state secretary K Narayana has demanded that the government confiscate the properties of corrupt politicians after arresting them.Addressing auto workers at a meeting held at the CPI office here on Thursday, he said the government was not revealing the names of politicians who stashed away `3 lakh crore in banks abroad.The people would appreciate the government if it got back the black money and used it for alleviation of poverty in the country, he said.The CPI leader alleged that the banks were initiating action against the middle class and poor people if they fail to repay loans, leaving the rich defaulters.There is no transparency and accountability in the administration. Corruption is rampant in all the government departments. But no concrete measures have been taken to eradicate corruption, which is hampering growth, he said.
